Day 1: Arrival in Ulaanbaatar (UB) (D/4*Hotel)

Welcome to Ulaanbaatar, a capital city of Mongolia. When you arrive at Chinggis Khaan International Airport using international flights, you will meet a guide and a driver to guide you on your trip to Mongolia, and go downtown Ulaanbaatar, a romantic city where past and present coexist. There is a dinner and a 4-star hotel for travelers. 

Day 2: Ulaanbaatar –Dalanzadgad (South Gobi province) flight (BLD/ Touris Ger camp)

(Flight time: About 1 hour and 20 minutes)

After checking out of the hotel early in the morning, go to Chinggis Khaan International Airport and board domestic flights to Dalanzadgad. 06:20 MR 111 to Dalanzadgad from domestic flight Ulaanbaatar / 07:40 Have breakfast and snack after arrival at Dalanzadgad. Dalanzadgad which is a beautifully manicured and well-kept city in the middle of the harsh Gobi desert welcomes travelers. Stop by the supermarket to get some snacks and water, then take a quick tour of the city and head to Yolyn Am, where ice does not melt even in the middle of the summer. In the Yolyn Am which is the largest point of Gurvan Saikhan National Park surrounded by gorges of desert and strangely shaped rocks and is one of the most famous tourist attractions for wildlife such as eagles and vulture, there is the adventure of horseback riding through the gorges. It is only available in AB travel to visit Mukhar Shivert, Dungenee Am where are hidden places in Gurvan Saikhan where you can see unique scenery of Gobi desert with naturally strange rock formations, forests and valleys! 

Dalanzadgad - Yolyn Am (Distance: About 20km, Time: About 30 minutes)

Enjoy the superb view of Yolyn Am Valley by going horseback riding trekking. (About 2 hours). Yolyn Am is located in Gurvan Saikhan National Park which is the largest park in Umnu Gobi. Gurvan Saikhan National Park has three ridges and boasts a scenic area that can only be found in Gobi desert, such as the canyons of cliffs, mountains, and sand dunes. Wild animals such as eagles, goats and all kinds of birds live, in some rare gorges, ibex and snow leopards also exist. This is an unpaved road and a steep canyon area where the average speed of the car is only 20 to 30 km. Depending on the local situation, the road is not good and you may choose to take the detour or take longer than usual on the road. Relax and enjoy the starry night sky filled with stars. 

Day 3: Yolyn Am – Khongor Sand Dune (BLD/ Tourist Ger camp)

After breakfast, go to the highlight of South Gobi desert tour, Khongoryn Els. Khongoryn Els is one of the three deserts of Mongolia along with Mongol Els and Elsen Tasarhai, boasting a huge scale of 300m in height and 100km in length. Although it is beautiful to see with your eyes, we recommend that you go deep into the desert with Mongolian7Days and do a proper desert tour. 

Day 4: Khongoryn Els –Bayanzag (Flaming Cliffs) (BLD/Tourist Ger camp)

(Distance: About 140km, Time: About 3 hours)

After lunch, we go to Bayanzag, better known as Flaming Cliffs. A typical desert area with red sand, scorching sun, shrubs and ghastly despair, this is the place where you can admire the typical scenery of Gobi desert at Bayanzag with the nickname of Flaming Cliffs. Numerous dinosaur bones and dinosaur eggs fossils were excavated in 1922 and became famous. There are a lot of plants called 'zag' that survive only in the desert, so the named Banyanzag has a granite ridge topography and is loved as a necessary course of Gobi travel. It is recommended that you feel the adventure of the Indiana Jones adventure in this endless desert landscape.

Look for dinosaur fossils, shoot bushes and red sand, a quaint cliff and trekking, kite flying. You experience kite flying at Banyanzag with canyon terrain with sea rising. A 360-degree horizon and a kite flying in the wind will leave unforgettable memories.

Stay and relax after returning to Dalanzadgad. 

Day 5: Dalanzadgad – Ulaanbaatar flight (BLD/Tourist Ger camp) 

(Flight time: About 1 hour and 20 minutes)

06:00 go to Dalanzadgad airport and return to Ulaanbaatar after check-out at Ger camp. 08:10 MR 112 flight to Ulaanbaatar from Dalanzadgad. At 09:30 Arriving in Ulaanbaatar. Ulaanbaatar – Gorkhi-Terelj National Park (Distance: About 50km, Time: About 1 hour) Stop by downtown Ulaanbaatar for lunch and go to Gorkhi-TereljNational Park, the largest national park in Mongolia after lunch. Gorkhi-Terelj National Park is the best resort in Mongolia and takes about an hour and a half by car from downtown Ulaanbaatar. Since it is a harmonious combination of valleys and strange rock formations surrounded by mountains, forests, meadows, and Tuul River across the national park, it is the best tourist destination in Mongolia with a lot of wildflowers in summer. Here you can go trekking through wildflowers and seeing Turtle Rock which is the best place in Terelj. Tour to Turtle Rock, a famous place in Gorkhi-Terelj National Park and Aryabal. Arriving at Gorkhi-Terelj National Park, go to Tsonjin Boldog after seeing the Turtle Rock, Aryabal, which is called Dawn Temple overlooking the entire Gorkhi-Terelj National Park.

Watch inside Genghis Khan Statue Complex. The Giant statue of Genghis Khan is located in Tsonjin Boldog which in the start point for looking at Khentii. Inside the large statue of 40m in length, there is a museum where you can experience the culture and history of Genghis Khan, and you can watch the observatory. Tsonjin Boldog - Ulaanbaatar (Distance: About 50km, Time: About 1 hour)

After returning to Ulaanbaatar, stay at a hotel to have dinner and relax, and prepare for your next trip. 

Day 6: Ulaanbaatar – Murun (Khuvsgul province) (BLD/Tourist Ger camp)

(Flight time: About 1 hour and 20 minutes)

After breakfast, go to Chinggis Khaan International Airport in Ulaanbaatar and board domestic flights to Murun. 10:10 MR131 Flight to Murun from Ulaanbaatar. 11:40 after the arrival at Murun Airport, have lunch and a brief shopping. Murun - Khatgal (Distance: About 100km, Time: About 1 and a half hours). After lunch, go to nearby town Khatgal. Which is the south gate of Khuvsgul lake is a small town, and is opened to sell canned fish and smoked dishes made from fish in Khuvsgul lake and souvenirs made using reindeer horns in summer. Khatgal – Khuvsgul accommodation (Distance: About 40km, Time: About 1 hour) Have dinner and free time after arriving at Ger camp. Khuvsgul lake called the blue pearl of Mongolia has a width of 136km and stretches to the Taiga climate in Siberia. It is very popular as one of the Mongolia’s best resorts and a beautiful natural environment. Travelers can enjoy a variety of experiences such as horseback riding trekking, hiking, fishing, boat tours and more on the mountains and rivers around the lake overlooking clear lake. There are fishes such as lobster and sturgeon in the lake. There are about 200 species of flora and fauna around the lake. 

Day 7: Schedule for Khuvsgul (Visit Reindeer family) (BLD/Tourist Ger camp)

After breakfast, go a second horseback riding trekking along the shores of Khuvsgul. (Time required: About 2 hours). Schedule recommended by Mongolian7Days: Use a boat to cross the lake to visit the secret island in the lake, visit Tsaatan village. 

Day 8: Schedule for Khuvsgul (Boat tour) (BLD/Tourist Ger camp)

After breakfast, have free time at Khuvsgul Lake. After lunch, enjoy free time or the schedule recommended by Mongolian7Days.

Schedule recommended by Mongolian7Days: Large cruise ship Sukhbaatar, outing to Ashihai village, Khashaa Mountain trekking with a glimpse of Khuvsgul Lake. 

Day 9: Murun– Ulaanbaatar (BLD/ 4*Hotel)

After breakfast, go to Murun Airport and return to Ulaanbaatar. Ulaanbaatar City Tour (Time required: About 4 hours)

Ulaanbaatar is the capital of Mongolia, which means 'red hero'. The city center of Ulaanbaatar is not very wide and walking trips are possible. There is major art space such as Mongolia National Museum of Contemporary Art, UMA Gallery, state museum, state department store, and post office focusing on Genghis Khan Square.
